• God has made each of us utterly UNIQUE. He has given each of us a priceless value with His gift of life. No one is more or less important than anyone.
• God gave each of us gifts and TALENTS for making our way in the world; and for meaningfully and joyfully giving and receiving in relationships with family, friends and community.
• Each of us possesses endless LIMITATIONS of knowledge and skill, which bring opportunities for learning, growth and loving with others.
• Our health, happiness and life depend upon our RELATIONSHIP with God, who makes possible the developing and sharing of our talents; and the taking care of our limitations with others in mutual ACCEPTANCE, respect, peace and caring.
• Each of us has the freedom of WILL, and responsibility to care for our life, body mind, heart and soul, which were designed by God, in His own image and likeness, for His GLORY.
• The purpose and meaning of life is wholly fulfilled by living in LOVING relationship with God, others, and ourselves, one moment at a time.
• Our very existence, rooted within the web of life and a profoundly limitless universe, draws us into relationship with our designer and Creator, who desires us to know LOVE, and be with Him, now and forever.
• Because of our self-centered NATURE, the context of a fallen world, and dark spiritual forces that are determined to weaken and break the bonds of love with God and others, on our own, we are hopelessly lost and unable to establish and expand our relationship with God.
• The more we are concerned with ourselves and our own lives; the more we look for HAPPINESS in this world; the more we will come into conflict with others and ourselves; the more troubled, hurt, stressed, and alone we will become; SEEKING RELIEF in an array of sins and self-comforting addictions (food, alcohol, drugs, sex, money, power, fame, gambling, shallow relationships, popular culture, the Internet, and on and on), or in some form of escape from others, the world, and even ourselves; thereby further removing ourselves from GOD.
• The Bible, God’s Word is the perfect human operator’s manual. Everything that anyone could ever need to know about living fully and LIVING WELL is there. The designer of relationships reveals all, about loving, friendship, marriage, parenting, family and community. Not a self-help book, but a God-help book, in SIMPLE TRUTH giving mankind peace for fear, healing for hurt, hope for depression, deliverance for shame, resolution for conflict, clarity for confusion, solutions for problems, and answers for every important question. It is all about Jesus.
• The foundational relationship with Jesus makes possible loving ourselves the way He does, loving others better than ourselves, and shining HIS LIGHT into the darkness of those who do not know Him, for His glory and our joy.
• God has provided Himself, a Savior and Redeemer, both God and a man, Jesus Christ, the central figure of history, who lived a perfectly loving and sinless life, which He laid down to restore our relationship with God; and rose from the dead, so that all of us might be saved and enjoy ETERNAL life with Him.
• The more our lives are Jesus centered, being with Him, knowing Him, following Him, the greater our peace, joy, clarity and understanding, meaning and CONTENTMENT, purpose, hope, kindness, patience, strength, capacity for forgiveness, mercy and love- the more we become like Him, shining His light into the hearts and lives of others. Jesus is the Wonderful Counselor, the ultimate healer and guide.
• Counseling is a collaboration in grace, the BRAIDING of a three strand chord, Holy Spirit~child of God~servant, for living in God’s will, one moment at a time, becoming like Jesus.
